Part One
I searched the internet but couldn’t find much on the instructions on how to actually make it. I did find a blog by someone from a sewing guild, but it was out of order for me,and apart from a few good tips ( like making the ironing pad removable and cutting a lining piece for the 8”x8” front square), it made it a little confusing.
There were some labels for the cut fabric that could be useful to some though so here is the link to the blog:
I started to get a bit obsessed and made lots of notes, and kept re-watching the videos which to be fair helped it sink in a little bit more.
I decided it was a good time to gather other supplies I would need for it, so went back to the supply list in the pattern ( pages 3 and 4).
Being in the U.K. I substituted the Pelion 808 with Vilene H250, and Pelion Peltex 71-F with Vilene S520.
I also couldn’t find the Welt piping cord poly foam, so decided that 3mm-5mm pvc tubing would do the job instead and it was cheaper too. One thing to bear in mind is that the cost of add on supplies will probably cost you at least an extra £50+ ( if you haven’t got any fabrics or supplies listed in the pattern beforehand).
