Part Eleven

assembling the pockets and the sides

The sides are straightforward to make. I added binding to the top of mine. You then fold them in half and start adding in the pockets. It took me a few attempts to get them actually to sew in, but got there in the end.

Back and front with pockets added to sides.

There is a difference from Natalie’s written instructions to her video. she adds the swivel hook to the back of the smaller pocket in her instructions, but to the front of the middle pocket in her video. I’ve added mine to the back of my smaller pocket.

Part Twelve

Adding the sides to the base of the bag.

This got a bit tricky as I had sewn the second side pocket channels right to the bottom. I then unpicked a bit, but it was still tricky.

Progress on putting it together..

In the end, I hand sewed the bottom part as it was a struggle to get it in my machine.
